The Greek independence day or the Day o the Annunciation occurs on March 25th.

Tis day is of religious and national importance. This day occurs exactly nine months before Christmas.

On this day flags fly from public buildings, churches and squares are decorated wit branches of myrtle and bay, slogans, pictures of patriotic heroes. Everyone who has a national dress puts it on.

They all attend church in the morning, the priest tells o the annunciation.
