Chilean Independence Day
The Chilean independence day is on September 18th.
On this day in 1810 a public meeting was held in Santiago and the people of Chile forced the Spanish governor to share government.
The evening starts by everyone in town building Ramadas in the main park or township.
There is much festivities going on with a grease pole, kiteflying, dancing, music and food stalls.
